Pin Bauble

Thanks to Michelle you can now make this wonderful Pin Bauble at home.

Michelle has used:

Stix2 Hobby & Craft PVA Glue S57262

Sequins

Polystyrene Bauble

Double Faced Satin Ribbon Silver 3mm x 5m S57187

Paint the polystyrene bauble and allow to dry.

Stick a 3" strip of 6mm wide red or brown extra strong tape along the top.

Secure the ribbon onto the tape also making a loop in the middle. 

Feed a small sequin then a larger one onto the pin then dip into PVA and stick into the polystyrene ball covering the ribbon first. This will also ensure that the ribbon is secure.

Put them in as close as possible until the whole bauble is finished.

Instructions

Jane used a White Stardust Cracker, which are great for other occasions such as Easter or Weddings. Push out the diamond shapes and keep them as they can be glued together to make pretty star shapes etc for other projects.

If you have trouble shaping the crackers, try using a wooden rolling pin to roll them around!

Cut Orange Stardust Paper and use a Tape Pen to stick to the cracker.

Ultra Sticky Clear Tape added to the edges of the orange pieces is great for Glitter and Beads.  Use a Stix2 Clean and Clear Tray to keep your glitter in one place and excess can be easily put back into the tube.

Tie off one end of the cracker with Double Faced Satin Ribbon and insert snap if required then fill cavity with Easter goodies!

Add more ribbon tying off both ends.

To finish, a Die Cut Oval Shape makes a perfect base for an Easter chick. Cover with glitter either using PVA Glue or A4 Double Sided Sticky Tape Sheets.  A little Hot Melt Glue will hold your chick nicely on the base and the base to the cracker.

Instructions:

For this design I have stamped onto the heat adhesive sheet and cut out the flower. It was then ironed onto the grey material protecting this with the parchment paper and removed when cold. I then sprinkled with iridescent glitter replaced the Parchment Paper and re-heated with the Iron. Once cold again, I shook off the loose glitter. I added some colour to the flower by using the fabric pens on the reverse of the material before mounting it onto some silver pearl card.

Sparkly Gift Tag

Crafty Edger Deluxe Starter Kit and Cartridge

Instructions:

Die cut 4 Flowers using the Adhesive Sheets.

Stick them randomly onto the Tag.

Peel off the liner sheet to expose the adhesive area, place your tag in the messy try and add your Glitter.

Using the Tape Runner Adhere the Tag to your Stardust Card and using the Layer Perfect, Create an even border all round, adding a larger border at the bottom.

7Punch  the bottom with the Crafty Edger Deluxe.

Add 3D Glue Dots to the flower centres, Place your tag back into the messy tray and cover the Glue Dots with Micro Beads.

Use the Layer Perfect to create 3 dots with the Pokey Tool.

Place the Gems onto the Micro Dots to Make the bottom Sticky, and with the Pick Up Pencil place the gems onto the marks your made on the tag.

Using the Eyelet tool create a hole at the top of the tag and tie your ribbon through.

For  extra decoration add Double-Faced Satin Ribbon at the bottom aswell.

Mount 'n' Stamp Review

Another lovely product review from Workshop on the Web. Sam has taken the time to review our Mount 'n' Stamp Foam and this is what she had to say about it.

"Stamps come in a variety of forms, mounted onto wooden blocks, with a foam backing (which allow them to be adhered temporarily to acrylic blocks) or ‘loose’. You are more likely to get ‘loose’ stamps in the form of red rubber stamps. The Mount n Stamp Foam is designed to transform these stamps into those where you can adhere them onto acrylic blocks. It is very easy to use. The foam comes as an A4 sheet and you cut it out to the size of your stamp. Peel the backing paper off the foam, stick to the stamp and you are ready to print. I used this on a moulding mat. It gives you a firmer surface to print with or make an imprint into clay."

Transfer Foils Toner and Laminator

For a while now we have been asked if our Transfer Foils can be used with a Toner ( Laser printer) and a laminator, we have happily been sending samples to those who have asked and then decided... Lets put them to the test?!?! Our wonderful demonstrator Kirsty Wiseman took on the task as she has previously experimented with this and the results were great!

Kirsty found they work excellent together and best with black ink.
